Giverny & Versailles guided tour

Combo Giverny & Versailles

Since Versailles is located in the same direction than Giverny what about killing 2 birds with one stone ?
This Full Day Tour combines the visit of the gardens of Claude Monet at Giverny and on the way back we'll stop at Versailles, in order to visit the glorious palace of Versailles and its park !

The world-famous gardens at Giverny were created by Monet between 1883 and 1926. In addition to the Japanese water garden, the inspiration for the Water Lilies series, there is also a more formal garden called "Le Clos Normand," located directly in front of the house. During the spring and summer, when all the flowers are in full bloom, it is a veritable carnival of colors!

During your visit to Giverny you will also be able to visit (unaccompanied) the house where Monet lived, with its collection of Japanese prints, created by Japanese artists including Hiroshige and Hokusai, who provided so much inspiration to the Impressionist painters of the late 19th century.

On the return journey, our Giverny tours stop off at La Roche-Guyon, which offers panoramic views over the Seine valley.
At the top of a cliff are the impressive remains of a 12th century keep, while at its foot lies a 17th century, used by Rommel as his HQ at the end of the Second World War.
We will also take a detour to the little village of Vétheuil to see the house where Monet and his favorite model and first wife Camille lived.

The 3 hour private guided tour of Versailles includes a guided visit of the State Apartments: the King's bedchamber, the glorious Hall of Mirrors, the Queen's bedchamber.

It also features a walking tour of the gardens and a drive through the park to see the Trianons, all accompanied by your experienced English-speaking guide.

N.B : For the Lunch , we'll stop at La Roche-Guyon or nearby for a snack or snack within the park of Versailles or downtown Versailles .

  • He made everything simpler, efficient. He managed time well so that there were no lines in versailles palace! Christophe was also flexible when it comes to changing plans.

  • I would recommend him to anyone traveling to Paris for any type of tour and would call him if we are fortunate enough to visit Paris again. I was one of 8 seniors who take their time, roam around, ask tons of questions and Christophe was the best guide for all of us.
